Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you were going to ask anyway.
The Short Version
Because reading legal documents is nobody's idea of a good time.
What is Yahoofa?
We find out if an airline owes you money for a delayed, cancelled, or overbooked flight — and we go get it. You risk nothing.
How do I know if I'm eligible?
Submit your flight details. Our system checks the relevant rules automatically and tells you what you're owed.
How long does a claim take?
It varies by airline and route. We'll keep you posted the whole way.
What information do I need to submit a claim?
Just your flight details and your contact info. Nothing more to get started.
Do I need a lawyer?
No. Yahoofa is your legal team. We handle everything, including legal action if the airline digs in its heels.
No Win. No Fee. No Catch.
We only get paid when you do.
What's the catch? How do you make money?
We take a percentage of whatever we recover for you. If we don't win, you owe us nothing.
Why a percentage instead of a flat fee?
Because it means zero risk for you. Small claim, small fee. Big claim, bigger fee. Either way, you never pay out of pocket.
Is there any upfront cost?
None. Ever.
How and when do I get paid?
Once the airline pays out, we deduct our fee and send you the rest directly.
What if the airline refuses to pay?
We escalate. That can include formal complaints, regulators, or legal action — all covered by us, not you.
Yes, This Is Real
We know — it sounds too easy. That's the point.
Is this legit?
Yahoofa is a registered company. We only get paid if you do, so we have no reason to waste anyone's time on a claim that won't go anywhere.
Will this affect my relationship with the airline?
No. This is a right you already have. Using it doesn't affect future bookings or your standing with the airline.
Can I cancel after I've started?
You can withdraw free of charge anytime before we've started work on your claim. Once work has begun, your claim has been legally assigned to us and can no longer be withdrawn. To cancel before that point, email support@yahoofa.com with your reference code.
What if I already tried claiming directly and the airline said no?
You can often still claim through us. Airlines reject valid claims all the time hoping people give up — we take another look.
Do you share my data with anyone else?
Only as needed to process your claim. See our Privacy Policy for details.
The Fine Print, Translated
Without the headache.
What counts as a "delay"?
Generally a few hours later than scheduled — exact thresholds depend on the rules that apply to your flight.
Does this cover cancellations too?
Yes — cancellations, long delays, and denied boarding are all covered, depending on the applicable rules.
What if the delay was due to weather or "extraordinary circumstances"?
Airlines love this excuse. It's often misapplied. We check whether it actually holds up.
Does this work for flights outside Europe?
Yes. We check eligibility under whichever rules apply, based on your flight's route and airline.
How far back can I claim?
Depends on the rules that apply to your flight. Submit your details and we'll tell you if you're still within the window.
What if the airline contacts me or pays me directly?
Let us know right away. Our fee still applies, since the result came from our work.
